Golf Buddy GPS
The Golf Buddy GPS Units have been in the Golf GPS business since they beginning and are great because they automatically recognize what course and what hole you are playing. The Golf Buddy comes pre loaded with over 15,000 courses. There are no annual or monthly subscription fees with the golf buddy. If your course isn't in the database the company will actually map it out and send it to you within a few weeks.
The Golf Buddy GPS comes in two models, the Golf Buddy Pro (black and white screen) and the Golf Buddy Tour (color screen). The graphics are limited as the main focus is on yardages.
Golf Buddy Pro - The Golf Buddy Pro actually comes preloaded with ALL the North American courses and internationally courses can be added. This is nice if you don't want to have to download updates. The Golf Buddy pro has a black and white screen, if you want a color screen you will have to get the Golf Buddy Tour. The golf Buddy will keep track of score and your driving distances.
The cool thing about this Golf Buddy GPS unit is that it uses a lithium-ion rechargeable battery and also has backup AAA batteries for power.
Golf Buddy Tour - The Golf Buddy Tour is basically the same great GPS system as the Golf Buddy Pro, plus it has an upgraded color screen. The GolfBuddy has a dynamic green view feature that changes based on shape of the green, based on your angle of approach to the green.
The Golf Buddy GPS units stores up to 20,000 coursed and includes free updates for new courses. Golf Buddy never has any membership fees or course download fees.
